Galvanizing Material

 

 

 

A-      degreasant

 

1-   Degreasing: It is  used to remove organic substances or contamination  , the concentration of this material usually  10% wt/wt from tap water 

2-   Actually 7.5% has been used in decreasing tank the, the process take place without problem in production

3-   The temperature of the tank is  75 c, there are neutral , alkaline and acidic degreaser . 

4-   The dipping time is the same .

5 -   The method of check the concentration is necessary to improve performance  and to  control .

 

 

B- pickling additive

 

1-    This additive is used as: a- inhibitor agent b- wetting gent c- anti – vaporization agent

2-    1.4% of the concentrated acid is added to the pickling tank from the pickling additive 

3-    The use of the pickling additive has taken place with out any problems

4- they are harmful   in case of producing new substances from consumed acid , and same for water treatment ( almost contain heavy metals  and not self analytical material  . 

 

 

C- flux (Double salt)

 

1-   The flux basically is Zinc - Ammonium Chloride (ZnCl2 +  NH4 OH ) the main purpose to prevent oxidation 

2-   Hints: some special additive may be improve the appearance of the flux and make it easy to soluble likes anti – caking

 

D-          Cold flux

  

 

 

1-   The additive of this material is related with the quantity of production it is about 250 gr \ ton production

2-   Poor  spray may cause black spots in the production.

4-     Acutely.  it needs  good training to avoid any effect upon the production

5-    Some more vapor appeared with addition  .

6- Heating is a must in cooling areas .

7-  Continuous  treatment to maintain  iron contact minimize  the zinc consumption and reduce the shutdown period  to treat the sludge of iron hydroxide . 

 

 

 

E- Anti oxidant

1-   This material should be free of chromium to give  advantage of environmental protection , unfortunately . the majority still contains high rate of chromium 6 .

 2-   1.75% wt/wt from this material is used in quench tank

3-   Some time  green - yellow color  appears on the products .

 

 

 

F- anti corrosion

 

1-This material is used  according to the operators it has a good solubility in water

2- No problem is  appeared , but it needs more time to get the total information.

Finally

All the materials need a suitable procedure for testing ,use and treated after being consumed .
